Ashley and the Girls Nearing Cancer Fundraising Goal In memory of Deceased Friend - Can You Help?

On April 25th, 2005 the Peter Files covered the Efforts of young Ashley Thorpe and her Friends to raise money for cancer research in honor of their girlfriend Ryan Vieu in Ashley and the Girls Love Ryan and You Can Get in on the Action Too!


With the Relay for Life set for June 17th, 2005, Ashley has reached 75% of her $400 goal to raise money in honor of her friend Ryan Vieu who died of Cancer in 2002.


Please help Ashley and her friends help make Ryan's death more meaningful by contributing to cancer research through her page at the Amercican Cancer Society Relay for Life Page.

Since The Peter Files first post about Ashley's site went up, perhaps coincidentally, contributions to Ashley's site have gone up 50%. With 90 days to go, and the generosity of The Peter Files blog readers, it would be really nice if we could help Ashley go well beyond her goal.



How about it? Donations are welcome from all over the world. Cancer research benefits everyone worldwide. Donations may be small, very small to be effective. Please show Ashley and her team that you care.


In this world of war and terrorism, here are some girls doing something peaceful and proactive for the betterment of us all. If you dislike other directions the U.S. has taken in the past few years, surely this is one, which could offend no one. For it not only raises money for cancer research, but celebrates the lives of those who have survived.


If you know someone who has survived cancer, go ahead, make their day. Tell them that you appreciate that they are around in this special way, by donating in their name. If they did not survive their bout with cancer, this is your chance to remember them and potentially help someone avoid the same feelings of loss you have and have had.
