Clock for the Inner Kid - Clockblock1.0
The screen shows six vertical panels. HH MM SS At the top in white are the numbers which change as the hours, minutes and seconds tick off.
But as each time period passes, a stack of colored blocks is built in each column, then swept away as a child might do once the stack reaches zero.
As time passes of course, the tension builds as more columns grow from left to right. The move from 39 to 40 minutes past the hour is building as I type this and proving to distracting to ignore.
A really nice page to watch when you need to veg out and de-stress, its only limitation is that there appears to be no control over the image size. How nice it would be to be able to shrink this down to a smaller window in the corner of my screen.
It need not be said I think that this is probably a good way to demonstrate the passage of time to toddlers, right?
More later,
Peter
